Finally we decided to bring Ethan to the clinic in Bugis to do the Bilicheck in order to find out his jaundice level. We thought that it is better to do this way rather than going to the other clinic to do the blood test (by hand prick) since it'd be less pain to him.
He was weighed and this time he's 3.1kg. The bilicheck was performed and it was at 13.6. The cutoff is at 15, so he was safe for now. The clinic informed his paediatrician at Tampines. Then the paediatrician called me to explain that his jaundice level is OK and I can continue breastfeeding him. About me giving him formula once a day, she said that this has no effect in reducing his jaundice level. If the jaundice level is very high (at about above 18 or 19), then I should stop breastfeeding completely and feed him only formula milk. But at this point, this is not necessary.
